A day of REST!

Working out everyday?  Well that might be slowing down your results.  Do you know that the results from all of your hard workouts are seen after rest.  During rest the body regenerates and makes the necessary changes to your body which means better results.  This is why sleep is necessary because the body requires downtime.  Working out six days a week is great when you are attempting to change your body and lose weight.  But I would recommend taking the seventh day to rest and allow the body to recharge and prepare for the next six day workout schedule.

So take Sunday off, enjoy the sunshine or simply be the couch potato for the day.  You have worked so hard that you deserve it.  Monday will give you plenty of time to get right back into your workout routine.  Your body will thank you and you will see the changes to your body faster.  Sunday is my day of rest and I rarely workout on this day.  However, I am starting a 21 day challenge on Monday that includes a Sunday workout.  So for the next 3 weeks I will be working out on Sunday.  I have placed a time limit of only 3 weeks to give up my rest day.  My goal is to get tone for my upcoming vacation.  Set a goal, reach it and get back to resting!
